Real Estate Claims

Real estate cases can be some of the most emotional cases because of the intimate connection between the claimant and his or her main investment, such as a family home or commercial income property.  In the Coachella Valley, residents in the cities of La Quinta, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage and the Palm Springs Communities, in general, know too well the value of their luxury homes.

Most real estate claims arise because the claimant is unhappy after purchasing property because he or she feels defrauded by an agent or seller who failed to disclose various conditions that affect value. Sometimes, homeowners buy directly from a builder or developer and are unsatisfied because various defects are observed throughout their "brand new" house. These "defects" can affect an entire community or condominium complex.

Other real estate cases involve an unscrupulous lender who initiates foreclosure, and the homeowner is placed at risk of losing the house.

Different statutes or rules apply depending upon the occurrence of fraud in the sale transaction or the foreclosure process. One thing is for sure, the law will not protect you if you sit on your rights.
